While I can imagine it might take a while, DT4 gets incredibly slow while importing an mbox file of 1.64Gb with about 20k emails in it. Even typing slows down to 1 character per second. But only within DT4, outside the app everything’s fine. The CPU is hardly doing anything, so it must be something inside DT4.
It’s been running for about half an hour and at 50% progress now. It says 30 minutes left. No automated tagging or anything else is running.

- This is a beta application. Inquiring and reporting is good but expect some rough edges.
Just to be clear: that is totally acceptable for me. I do realize it’s a beta. I was just reporting it in case the info was valuable for you.

Please launch Apple’s Activity Monitor application (see Applications > Utilities), select DEVONthink 4 in the list of processes, choose the menu item View > Sample Process and send the result to cgrunenberg - at - devon-technologies.com - thanks in advance!
