when I use the print dialogue that can directly print to DT4, I usually want the URL of the webpage I am thus saving to my DT data base in order to have a documented source for the information.
Is there a way to automate that? Or do I have to do this manually?
When I print from Safari, DEVONthink always grabs the URL and saves it in the URL property field.
I just tried printing from Firefox and chose āPrint using the system dialogā so I could use the DEVONthink PDF service. I had a vague memory Firefox didnāt pass the URL ā but it did.
(Iām still on DT3, but I donāt expect DT4 to be any different.)
Otherwise there is usually an option for the print layout to include a page header and/or footer, which should include the URL.
I print from Safari. Here is a screenshot of a page I just tried to save to DT4 via the print dialogue. As is clearly visible, the URL field is empty.
Since others donāt seem to have the problem: where can my problem lie?
Many thanks for your help!
Here it is - but strangely now it seems to have worked⦠But you can see on the first screenshot I posted (start of this thread) that the URL is missing.
(Edit: sorry, not first post but first reply to your answer.)
