DT4b3: Sorter in Dock mode doesn't accept shortcuts

Hi,

DT4.0beta 3, MacOS Sequoia 15.5…

I don’t think this has been reported – apologies if I’ve missed it.

When the Sorter is in Menu Extra mode, you can use the shortcuts cmd-1/2/3 (Format) etc, cmd-opt-1/2/3 (Sorter Pane), cmd-l (Location) etc to access various Sorter features.

But when the Sorter is in Dock Tab mode, these shortcuts are ignored by the Sorter and are passed through directly to the underlying program (e.g. to Safari if you’re using the Web Clipper panel).

I don’t remember this being a problem in DT3 (though as I mostly used Menu Extra mode on DT3, I can’t be sure).

Expected behaviour: Sorter shortcuts are intercepted by the Sorter in Dock Tab mode.

Let me know if there’s any testing I can do…

Thanks!

@aedwards: It looks like the Sorter is just not receiving focus when opened via hotkeys set in the Sorter preferences or the browser extension. And indeed this is an effect when it’s docked, not the menubar.

Sorry, I didn’t mention that I always use the hotkeys to open the Sorter, never the mouse, so I didn’t notice if that alters the behaviour I reported…

I have added fix and it will be included in the next update.
