DTP database to DT?

I have been testing DTP for about a few weeks and am now considering buying DT instead of DTP.

[The reason is that I don’t really use the advanced features and scripts in DTP. I was initially excited about the ability of importing emails, but I would need a script that actually imports emails as they arrive into the appropriate folders in the database. Since that doesn’t seem to work with the current version of DTP, I probably don’t need it. If I am mistaken, do let me know.]

So I would like to export my current DTP database for use with DT. Could anyone let me know how I can do this?

In the Finder, select your DT Pro database file.

Press Command-I to open the Info panel. Rename the file to “DEVONthink” ppwithout quotes) and press Return. Close the Info panel.

Now your database is contained in a folder.

Select (don’t open) the folder and move it to ~/Library/Application Support/.

Some features such as Sheets & Records won’t work. Features dependent on scripts won’t work. But in general your database should be functional.
