DTPO 2.11.2 Sync with iPad

Hello

I have on iMac three database.
One big and two small.
I sync the two small with iPad.
It works.
I would sync a group in the big database with ipad.
a) Is this possible?
If not I would sync the big database without some groups.
b) Is this possible?
If Yes what and where must I define in DTPO to do this?
I don’t find selection in info of group or info in database.

macOS 10.13.6.
DTPO 2.11.2.
iOS 12.4
DTTG 2.7.1

Jochen

No, it is not possible to sync parts of a database, or excluded parts from syncing.

Either create a syncing database containing only the groups you want to sync, or move the groups you don’t want to sync to a separate database.

Thanks for quick feedback.
I must then create a new database.
c) Can I sync a group inside database_A to a group inside database_B on iMac?
d) What mean the setting „Geschützt" in Information of group?
The ?_Help doesn’t work.

No. You cannot sync between databases.

A screen capture could be helpful here.

Ahh… that means the group can be locked.

Locking a group does not lock its contents, but it keeps you from accidentally deleting the group. Here’s the warning in DEVONthink 2 when a locked item is in the Trash and you try and empty it…

You can lock individual files. If you lock a file, you can’t edit its contents (if they’re editable)_. You can rename the file, but Development would have to assess whether the name should be uneditable as well.
