When choosing to “import from scanner”, I get a message that there is “no scanner available”. In fact, the Fujitsu Scansnap is attached, and even when I do a brose fr scanners, it is not seen. Is there something else that should be done? Or do I just scan and choose devonthinkpro as the app to use? I also have a hp scanjet 5590 but even that isn’t available since the Image Capture gives the message that “no image capture device connected”. thanks
From the Dock you can check the ScanSnap Manager’s settings. Make certain that your copy of DT Pro Office (which will be seen as DT Pro) is selected under Applications. If not, add it to the list and select it.
When using the ScanSnap you do not need to select File > Import > From Scanner > Capture.
ScanSnap provides its own driver, ScanSnap Manager.
Just insert some paper in the sheet feeder and press the Scan button.
