DTTG 3: how to troubleshoot empty Favorites?

DTTG 3 latest version and iOS 17.7, DevonThink 3.9.7, Ventura latest edition

Hello, I can’t figure out why the Mac OS DevonThink Favorites contains many items of different ages (many years old) on my Mac but is empty in DTTG. How would I troubleshoot this ?

Favorites don’t sync between devices, not even between Macs. The Reading List does.

thank you. If I understand, neither do smart groups ? None of the smart groups in my Mac appears to sync to my iPhone?

That is correct. Support for syncing smart groups to DEVONthink To Go is planned for the future but isn’t supported now.

sorry for a follow-up question.

So there is no smart group workaround, except perhaps creating special iPhone groups into which i would put only aliases on my Mac as a substitute for smart

So basically I have one syncing smart group that I can manage (I can’t manage recently modified or viewed), so I can reassign the reading list in my mac to contain my favorites and just create another “current reading” smart group on my mac, because syncing favorites is what I need. Is this correct ?

concerning PDFs, do you have a suggestion (probably using “convert to” on my mac) to facilitate reading PDFs on an iPhone ?
