Hi. On iPadOS. What are the recommendations for using both DTTG 3x and 4, for testing v4? Can they be open at the same time? Can I open one, work on it, sync, open the other? Any don’ts?
Yes, that technically works. However, DTTG4 converts the database format and adds e.g. the fields needed for custom metadata. DTTG3 converts it back, when you open it, removing those data structures. So: possible but with side-effects.

It has been on my short list of things I would love to see in the next DTTG. A list so short I can’t really remember what else is on it.

No, on a separate device. “Database” here means the actual data store structure on disk that holds all synced databases. DTTG works slightly different than DEVONthink for Mac.
