DTTG annotation glitches

I have recently started having some trouble with the DTTG annotations feature. When I create an annotation on a PNG file through the ‘info’–>‘annotations’ pathway and start to type in the annotation document, it automatically erases my text after a few seconds and creates a file that seems locked. I have to exit and enter the annotation again, after which I am able to enter text. Not a terrible problem, just annoying. Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong or whether there is a bug? Happy to share screenshots. Thank you!

Yes, screen captures or a screencast would be helpful.

Thank you!

This is what it looks like when I start typing into an annotation:

And this is what happens after a few seconds, when I lose the text and the ability to edit the annotation:

And then it will work again:

It just looks like it’s switching out of editing mode. Does it persist after quitting and relaunching DEVONthink To Go.?

Unfortunately it does. I also restarted the Ipad and no luck.

  • Are you syncing with another device?
    • If so, with what device and what sync method?

Yes. I usually work offline on DTTG on my ipad and then use local network to sync up with DT3 on a Mac currently running Ventura 13.7.6. I also have DTTG on my iphone, also synced through the local network. Thanks!

So you confirm it’s only happening when you first create and edit an annotation file, correct?

Correct! When I return to edit it works fine.

I filed an issue on it. Thanks for confirming.

Thanks to you!
