DTTG crashes with Japanese input

Up until recently, I have been able to make notes in DTTG with a mix of English and Japanese without any trouble. Now, I find that whenever I input some Japanese text, as soon as I try to type the next word DTTG immediately crashes. This happens without fail.

Running version 2.7.7 (16398) on iOS 14.0.1
