DTTG discards highlights when saving rtfs and formatted notes

Dear DEVONtechnologies team,
I found out how the highlights disappeared from many of my rtf source documents. It’s a bit of an unfortunate surprise :-).

howto:

  1. I open a saved rtf document or a formatted note and switch to edit mode. I just highlight text. I neither add visible/invisible characters nor delete anything. I exit edit mode. Result: DTTG shows the highlights.
  2. I go back to list view and open the document again. Result: The highlights are missing.

As a workaround, it helps to simply add a space somewhere in the document or delete an unnecessary line break. This apparently makes DTTG save the highlights as well.

DTTG 3.8.7 (17466); iOS 17.7; Restarting the iPhone makes no difference.
