DTTG tags behaving badly

I haven’t looked at my tags on DTTG recently, but was perplexed when the tags didn’t show in the info panel, even though they are present back at my Mac.

To test, I just created a simple text file in DTTG and added a pre-existing tag manually. After saving, the new note did not show any tags in the info panel, and the note did not show up in the pre-existing tag group on DTTG. It did, however, create a new tag group with the same name and the new note is there.

After syncing, everything is as you would expect back at my Mac. The new note shows the tag in the info panel and it has been added to the original tag group.

To summarize the new note doesn’t given any indication that it is tagged in the info panel, even though it actually is tagged, albeit in its own new instance of the tag group.

Thanks, Paul

DTTG 3.8.11 (17488) - iOS 18.5
DEVONthink 3.9.14 - Sequoia 15.5

This will be addressed in the next maintenance releases of DEVONthink To Go.

That’s fast, and great news!

Additional info - when I run a shortcut to get the tags from an item in DTTG, it doesn’t return anything, even though the item is actually tagged (but you wouldn’t know that from the info panel). This was how I initially became aware of the issue.

I have confirmed a Shortcut properly detects tags on a selected item in the upcoming release.

Just to say thanks and let you know that all of my reported issues have been resolved with the 3.8.12 maintenance build. I just need to merge a few tags and I will be good to go.

Thanks truly go to @eboehnisch but I’ll accept the award on his behalf
