DTTG4 Custom Metadata Rich Text Field - Not Fully Visible on DTTG4

Hi, not sure if this is a bug or just my setup.

I have been playing with the Rich Text Custom Metadata field, which is a multi-line field. I have been pasting in DEVONthink Item Links, which nicely format as links. I am exploring this is another way of linking multiple files together (2-way) and doing so in a one-step way. ie: I can select multiple files and paste the links in the custom metadata box, which populates the field for all selected files. Better than using Item Link Custom Metadata fields which are one-way only.

Works great on DT4 Mac, but on DTTG 4, ***only the first link syncs***, the subsequent links don’t. CORRECTION - The field does seem to be syncing, it is just not fully visible…

Can you please test to see if it is just my setup.

I think I can answer my own question. The issue seems to be that on DTTG the field size is fixed, whereas on DEVONthink Mac it expands to fit the content.

So, because of long file names, I can’t see the second, and subsequent, links.

Feature request:

Is there a way to implement one of these options:

  • Automatically resize the field to fit its contents (like Mac)
  • Manually resizable - ie: drag from bottom
  • Make the field contents scrollable

Or, development may have a smarter idea!
