It did import db from version 3 but is not syncing. I tried dropbox and icloud. No “activity”, no logs. It does show “backing up to icloud” but it has now been a few days already so thats probably just stuck too. The “sync” in menu seems to do nothing.
In DEVONthink, hold the Option key and select Help > Report Bug.
I’ve got a progress bar but it’s not progressing.
OK, it’s moving, just very verrry slowly. Waiting about an hour so far, so could be hours before it’s done.
All I want to do is review one document while I’m out but if I disconnect from external power and leave open to sync, it’ll kill the battery, so not an option.
So, DTTG works for capture, or documents already synced, but my current sync setup’s preventing me from handing off numerous docs from MacOS.
Once the current sync’s completed, I’m going to see if I can have both local and cloud options enabled simultaneously. If not, no idea.
What type of sync(s) running? How much data has to be “caught-up”? Is your network/telecommunications working properly? What sort of bandwidth do you have on your device and using 3/4/5g or WiFi at home or “out and about”? What are your sync settings? Perhaps show a screen shot?
My problem was solved. I had not realised that after selecting sync type I could and had to go deeper in the menus and also select db’s I want to sync.
Indeed. Remember, sync is optional so you need to make decisions about to sync. That is not a decision the software should make for you.
I d like to add that it was not obivious there was a submenu. I had to take a second look even after I was told what to look for.
Those menu items already have
- toggle
- icon (that conveys some info)
- 2 line text info -thingy
- hamburger menu circle -thingy
- and then that small, unassuming arrow
That is a lot of stuff..
Both toggle and burger menu are also blue and can be interacted with, would make sense that arrow would be blue as well.
No promises but it’s under discussion.
