I have some groups with icons as symbols on DT:
In DTTG (iPad), I get a black folder symbol fro them:
Not a big deal for me, just to let you know.
These custom icons were PNGs, SVG, …?

I went to some website and converted emojis to whatever format they offered. Probably PNGs.
Have you checked View Options (three bars) > View… > Thumbnails?

that I have found already - but whether I click on the option or not, nothing changes.
I always have the standard-group/database-icon - no individuals.
But maybe I found my mistake - I only have individual icons for databases not for group.
So I assume mentioned customization only applies for groups, not for databases.
Yes, groups vs. databases is an important distinction.
