Since installing DEVONthink 4 (and uininstalling DT3!) I get duplicated “New Extra” notifications:
What causes this and how can I eliminate these duplicates?
This is a random issue of macOS. Does a reboot fix this?
Just rebooted. Let’s see when the next DEVONthink notification comes in.

Sonoma Version 14.7.4
I just asked AI engine “Grok” the query “sonoma mac multiple notifications” and there were lots of ideas to consider. I cannot vouch for any but perhaps will be useful to you.
Q: do these notifications appear at the same time?
theory: you close(?) DT. the notifications, then, accumulate with every opening. But I definitely don’t experience this behavior with DT (for me, it’s also running all the time).
if you never close DT, then please ignore my theory

I will observe whether that might be the issue.
I do do shut down DEVONthink every couple of days or so when I restart the machine. I don’t think ythe notification issue is related to this but I’ll look for it.
