Duplicates not being detected...

As I am importing huge numbers of files (of all types) I am running into an issue: DT2 flags duplicates or certain file types correctly (and paints them blue), but fails to flag duplicates of other types, especially png, gif, and in many cases jpegs - why is that?

On inspection, file size, creation and modification dates always appear to be the same.

Any thoughts?

DEVONthink compares a thumbnail of images to detect duplicates but since Tiger scaling of images is kind of fuzzy. Scaling the same file twice might produce slightly different output.
