Easy way to link up database with The Brain

For folks that make use of The Brain’s concept mapping app, there’s an easy work-around that allows you to link up to files or folders in Devonthink if you haven’t purchased the pro or full membership. It’s a pretty useful workaround if you’d prefer to attach the files as links rather than directly attaching files as the pro license permits

Right click on the node to which the item will be attached

Click on paste web link Screen Shot 2019-02-14 at 2.52.24 PM.png

Your first image is not the correct image for the action you mention “Copy the link to the file in DEVONthink”. That’s an image of the contextual menu of TheBrain v10.

What should be done is in DEVONthink when one selects the document you want to link to, then in the Edit menu, or the contextual menu, choose Copy Item Link

That is the link one pastes in the second step of your procedure.
