Editing Geolocation field no longer possible in DEVONthink Pro Edition 3.9.6

After updating to newest software release, the ability to edit the geolocation field in the Inspector no longer works on my system. I can enter a location or lat/long, but when I enter a return I get a “bong” and the field does not change. When I navigate away from the record, the information in the field returns to its prior state. My system is a macOS 14.3.1 (23D60) with a M1 chip.

Changing the geolocation data is very important to link a document such as hand-written notes with a place.

Is DEVONthink 3 allowed to use geolocation services, see system settings? And what exactly did you enter? Finally, is this related to Sonoma? Because DEVONthink’s handling of geolocation didn’t change for a long tim.e

You identified the solution. When i go to system settings for Location, check Devonthink, and restart Devonthink, the Geolocation editing works correctly. Thank you for pointing me in the correct direction!
