ich lese mich jetzt schon seit 2 Tagen durch das Forum und das Netz.
Aber so richtig sicher bin ich mir nicht.
Mein Szenario - alle Dokumente liegen als durchsuchbare PDFs oder Dateien in einer Ordner-Struktur in Cloud Drive, somit habe ich Zugriff vom MBP, IPAD, Windows Rechner.
Da der Windows-Rechner wegfällt und ich eine DMS Lösung gesucht habe bin ich auf Devonthink gestoßen.
Da ich einen 2 TB Plan habe würde ich gerne Icloud Nutzen. Allerdings habe ich lokal nicht genug Speicher als dass ich alles doppelt haben könnte.
Außerdem kann meine Frau nur bedingt auf die Dokumente zugreifen, wir haben zwar eine separate Apple-ID dafür, aber auf dem Handy hat Sie Ihr eigenes ICloud Drive.
Meine Frage daher - nach dem was ich gelesen habe, würde eine direkt Synchronisation nur mit Dropbox gehen, könnte ich dass dann auch bei meiner Frau auf dem IPAD/IPhone einrichten als DTTG?
Gibt es eine Möglichkeit das mit ICloud abzubilden?
PS: einen Lokale Festplatt ist wegen Weltreise keine Möglichkeit, ich muss mir sicher sein können, das alle Daten in der Cloud liegen und ich keine Datenverluste habe falls ein Gerät verloren geht, gestohlen wird oder kaputt geht.
Mit iCloud und Synchronisierung haben viele DT3-Nutzer öfter mal Schwierigkeiten. Ich auch.
WebDAV soll zuverlässig funktionieren, Dropbox wohl auch.
Wenn Dein Platz lokal nicht für alle Deine Daten reicht, dann könntest Du DT3 wohl zum Indizieren der iCloud-Dateien nutzen. Diese Dateien werden wohl nicht in DT3 repliziert. Aber mehr weiß ich dazu nicht.

A common example is people using a cloud service like Dropbox and indexing folders in the local Dropbox folders. DEVONthink indexes the content and metadata for use with classification and other content-related functions, just as it does with imported items.
Finder files and folders can be indexed using File > Index . You can also hold ⌥⌘ while dragging and dropping into your database. When you do, you will see a curved arrow indicating the items will be indexed.
While indexing may seem like an obvious choice, you should carefully consider if it’s the best option:
Indexing is best used on fairly static locations, i.e., you are not moving the items around in the Finder and renaming them. However, if you do index a location, you can update it in the database and it will change to reflect the changes in the Finder. Updating can be done by opening an indexed group in the database, or selecting one and choosing File > Update Indexed Items .
You should only index local data, e.g., on the local hard drive or connected drives. DEVONthink doesn’t support indexing data that resides only in the cloud.
While indexing doesn’t copy the contents of the files, the full text of text-based is stored. This can still take up a considerable amount of space.
Lastly, if you are indexing content and want to sync the databases between devices, please review the [Indexing and Sync] section.
Due to the flexibility of DEVONthink, it’s possible to have a database containing both imported and indexed files.
wenn auch etwas spät, wollte mich für deine Rückmeldung bedanken, wollte eben eine weitere Cloud-Lösung vermeiden… aber das lässt sich wohl nicht umgehen. Mal sehen ob in Magenta noch WebDAV enthalten ist, ansonsten werde ich dann wohl doch Dropbox nehmen, das läuft wohl am Besten.
