Embedded browser downloads don't appear to be working

  1. I click on a URL in a document (http://…something.com)
  2. The devonthink embedded browser opens the URL in the main pane.
  3. I click on a javascript button to download a document from that page
  4. Javascript on the page says download was successful
  5. I can’t find the downloaded document anywhere in any InBox, Database or folder.

If I repeat the same steps in Safari I end up with the expected CSV file in my Downloads folder.

Unfortunately I can’t share the specific page where this is happening.

Am I missing something ? Ultimately I want to automate this, but at the moment the missing download is an issue.

What are the options in the Download Manager?

And you can’t expect the same behavior in DEVONthink and Safari. They’re not using the same version of WebKit.

Which edition do you use?

If I disable purge there is nothing in Download Manager after a download attempt. Suggesting the download is not actually being picked up by Download Manager.

I accept the behaviour will be different. Are the differences documented anywhere ?
