Emptying Trash in DevonThink Pro 3 - Image Capture

I haven’t had any resolution to my problem having examined past posts on this subject, but I may have missed the answer. I have about 849 items in Trash under Image Capture, with the number growing. They won’t empty using the Empty action. I can select individual documents or all, but right-clicking only gives me the ‘Empty Trash’ option that fails. Drag and drop doesn’t work. I would be grateful if you can help me clear the Trash thanks.

Not sure why the trash is not emptying, however try this workaround:

  • Quit DEVONthink
  • In Finder select the menu Go->Go to Folder, copy and paste the line below and press Go.
    ~/Library/Application Support/DEVONthink 3
  • There should be a file called ScannerPlugin.trash, select this and drag to the trash.
  • Restart DEVONthink and the scanner trash should now be empty.

Thanks Alan… that fixed it. I appreciate the help. :+1: I will try it with a scan to ensure it doesn’t repeat itself. Regards,
