Error dialogue on launch

Says: “Initialization. The database is already in use” (Ignor) (OK)

But there is no database open or in use; nor does the file menu offer an option to ‘Open’ the db.

Double clicking on the ‘DEVONnote-1.database’ in my user folder returns the same dialogue.

Tried trashing preference file and rebooting. Same result.

Help please.

I have this same problem; so far I’ve found the advice to delete a file with “lock” in the name, from the folder containing the DTP database. This did not help me because I can’t fingure out where the DB is, but perhaps it will help you.
