Export document list (and selected fields) as spreadsheet

I’ve searched DT help and can only find discussions from 2016 and earlier that don’t seem to apply to the current version.

I am looking to export a list of documents and selected fields as a spreadsheet to share with others involved in a project:

  • name
  • created
  • tags
  • stars
  • annotations (if any)

Is there a simple way to do this?

My goto tool is Applescript
I use a script to export data; columns for name and metadata
Names are hyperlinked to the original note
Sorted as required

I export to both an Apple Numbers spreadsheet, and a .csv file

  • Are you referring to PDF annotations?
    • If so, Tools > Summarize Annotations can produce a document with annotations and back links to the specific documents.

I’m looking for a spreadsheet to share with legal counsel identifying documents provided as part of a discovery process.

Creating a spreadsheet of the basic metadata you mentioned would be a fairly simple thing to accomplish via AppleScript. There’s actually already the Tools > Create Metadata Overview that you may be able to use (and is easily tested with a handful of documents). But what about the annotations question I asked ?
