Exporting pdf files as pdf

I have been trying to export a few pdf files both in bundles and individually but DT doesn’t seem to give me the option to do that. Or I am missing something? I can export as RTF, as word documents, etc. but not as pdf. Why is that? Anyway to get around this?

Also, when I try to read a pdf document I click on the “Open in external editor or viewer” button. But whenever I do this, the document opens in Adobe Reader 9 as opposed to my Adobe 7.0 Professional. How can I change this so that it would open with the latter?

Many thanks in advance.

Your PDFs are already PDFs. Just use the first Export procedures, File > Export > Files & folders. That exports any filetype in your database in its native filetype.

In the Finder, select a PDF file and press Command-I to open the Info panel. Under ‘Open With’’ click on the select bar and choose Acrobat Pro 7.0. Then click on the ‘Change all’ button. You have instructed the Finder to open all PDFs under Acrobat Pro 7.0.

Thanks a million. I am really appreciative of your responses.

Thanks again.
