I’m confused; what has changed? I’ve been a DEVONthink user since v1.x. I don’t recall ever having to “extend” an active license. I bought a new license for each major version, which gave me full access and updates through the life of that version. Now, here in version 4, I need to “extend” my paid-for license in order to keep receiving updates. Extensions are only good for one year, so isn’t this really becoming a subscription service?

Same here; my license (which I thought would be unlimited) ran out. I renewed for 3 years. But yes @bluefrog had answered that in other posts, I just don’t tend to follow closely those discussions, and after all, DT is a great tool.
