Extension needed for access corporate pages

Hi,

I use Devonthink at work and sometimes I try to clip pages to it, or click on links in documents. When this happens I get a login page that uses 2FA (enforced with a yubi key). I can login in the page, using the alternative way of filling the 2FA code from the key. After that, however, I get a page complaining about a missing safari extension that is needed for the authentication process to verify other things in the device and verify security posture.

Given that, I have two questions:

  • I suppose Devonthink has no way to have extensions installed or use Safari’s extensions, is that correct?
  • I’m able to do this login in the command line, and that creates a cookie file which I’m able to pass to curl using curl --cookie --cookie-jar . Is there anyway I could point Devonthink to this cookie file to see if that works?

Thanks

André

  • No, extensions are not supported.
  • Applications haven’t shared cookies in years. Add a bookmark for a specific site to DEVONthink. View the web page in our app and log into it. This sets a cookie for DEVONthink. Then see how a clipping from that site behaves.
