Feature request DTTG

The iPad is considered by some as a consumption device. If part of that statement is true, why can I get a superior viewing of pdf’s on DT3 on my iMac?
[I capture screen shots of magazine pages, and then make a pdf for future reference/reading]

In DT3, you can set viewing of pdfs:

PDF Display … 2 Pages

Then pages scanned in from a magazine - left and right sides of a double spread will display correctly.
Unfortunately, in DTTG, the display is set to book mode (no option to change this). Thus, the first page of a double page spread appears on its own, followed by a double page display (of non facing pages)

I can get around this by creating a blank page in DTTG and moving this to be the first page.
This however, is extra work and probably increases the file size.

Can DTTG have its default behaviour changed to the non book mode or can we have a choice?
Thanks

Unfortunately, in DTTG, the display is set to book mode (no option to change this).

This is incorrect.

Hi Jim
Ah but I wish to view 2 pages side by side. DTTG allows this but does not put facing pages together. So on setting to 2 pages (single off) I get in a 4 page pdf in vertical scrolling :

1
2-3
4

In DT3 I can view 2 pages together (facing) as
1-2
3-4

If I set to book mode in DT3 then I get the DTTG behaviour ie
1
2-3
4

In DTTG I have to create a blank page as page no 1. So —

Blank
1-2
3-4

to achieve a magazine type of viewing.

Does that explain things?

Thanks

We can pass the request along to the developer of the PDF framework.
