I’m using DEVONthink Version 4.0 beta 2 on a MacBook Pro with an M2 Pro chip. I placed the Inbox in Docker for quickly transferring files into DEVONthink. Since updating to Beta 2, files often get stuck in the Inbox (they are not transferred to DEVONthink’s Global Inbox). After restarting, the files are transferred to the Global Inbox as expected.
Did you change the inbox alias when you switched to DT4? If it’s still pointing to the DEVONthink 3 inbox, that would explain things.
Thanks!
I installed DT4 after uninstalling DT3, and then set up the Inbox.
My issue is the same as the one mentioned in the post you referenced: when using Hazel, there’s a delay, and a restart is needed for it to take effect.
However, when dragging files directly into the Docker Inbox, the import speed is normal.
The issue still exists.
Where does the Hazel rule send files? Deinstalling DT3 wouldn’t update an existing Hazel rule.
I’ve updated the Hazel rules to work with DT 4’s inbox location.
Actually, the files were all moved to the Inbox(Finder) and got stuck there—they weren’t transferred to the Global Inbox in the DEVONthink database.
Also, saving markdown and HTML files from the Brave browser using the DEVONthink Sorter (menu bar) is really slow. Sometimes, the file suddenly appears in the Inbox after as long as ten minutes.
