Command-Option-F puts the focus on the search field in the toolbar, which is all very well if you have the toolbar open. But if not, nothing happens. Would it not be possible to open the toolbar (if closed) on this command, as well? Either that, or some kind of floating HUD pallet?
The “do nothing” behavior is consistent with a few other apps I’ve checked. Except Safari, which unhides the toolbar when necessary; that gets my vote for what I’d prefer Option-Command-F in DT (and other apps, for that matter) do.
