In the PDF manual for DEVONthink 3.5, on pages 112–113 under the section titled “Finder comments”, there is the following statement:
When an annotation file is made, the original item link of the document will be stored here as the Original URL .
This does not seem to happen when I create an annotation for a PDF file. For example, if I click on a PDF document in a database, open the Annotations & Reminders inspector, and use the down-arrow in the Annotations field to create a new annotation, nothing is added to the Finder comments box. This happens for PDF files in the database itself and also for PDF files stored externally and indexed in DEVONthink.
I’m probably doing something wrong, but I can’t figure out what. Can someone explain?
