Flagging all items in a group adds group to the Flagged coun

Hello, I have a Smart Group that looks for anything flagged.

I marked three items as Flagged, which happens to be all 3 items in a group, and the group was automatically marked as Flagged. My Smart Group count went from 3 to 5.

I changed the Smart Group to filter out Groups, but still, I thought this was weird. I’m guessing it’s a feature, to mark the whole group as flagged when all its contents are flagged, but there may be some conditions where that’s not ideal?

Thanks.

That’s right. Groups are automatically flagged if all items inside the group are flagged. That’s e.g. useful to easily spot groups containing flagged items.

Ok then, thanks for the clarification.

Yes, concerning a group - that is the state of the group: no flagged items, all flagged items, or a mix (a dash showing an intermediate state).
