Flashing columns in list view when expanding folder (dark mode)

I am playing around with Big Sur and Monterey at the moment to evaluate if I upgrade.
If I in dark mode expand a folder in list view all light rows flash. Is this a feature or a bug?
The flashing does not appear in light mode, but both in Big Sur and Monterey.

It happens in 3.8 and 3.7.2 too.
