I had to force close DT after it locked up processing a number of large pdf documents I had scanned. Upon reopening DT and verifying database I do not see the items in process. Are they completely lost or are they stored in some in-process directory or error folder on the Mac. I.e. is there anyway to recover the work? Thanks for any feedback on this
Welcome @Leonardo
What does the Log say?
A little more detail would be useful. What kind of processing? Did you scan in DEVONthink? At what point did the application lock up?
Maybe they ended up in a group named Orphaned Files.
Thank you for getting back to me.
To address your questions:
- In pulling up the log, it only shows activity from today and not from yesterday (when the problem arose). If there is some way to pull historical log data please let me know.
- I am not sure what you mean by type of processing. I was importing pdf documents (e.g. bills) from a ScanSnap scanner directly into DT where they are OCR converted and stored. I have done this for many years and this is the first time it “choked” on the process.
- I have a group called ‘Orphaned Files’ in my DT Inbox, but it is empty.
I am not sure if the above helps, but please let me know if there is any other info I can provide or path to follow.
Thank you again for your assistance.
