For new Formatted Note or Rich Text, the default font colour is black. So I am not able to see the entered text. I have to select the text and change the colour.
Another issue is that when I sync these notes to DEVONthink 3, the formatted note text colour is again dark. But rich text has white as set in from the mobile app.
I tested this in DTTG v3.7.6.
Yes, I have the User dark background for documents enabled.
The rich text and note font colour is default. Please see the screenshot.
Please post a screen capture of a newly created rich text document.

I have updated to iOS 16.7 and this issue is present. The issue happens when I create new text with entry in the name and no body. Then I do Edit and add body, the text is dark.
If I create a new text and add body, then it appears in white and larger font. These syncs with mac and the font colour is white as well.
Thanks for the clarification. Those details were necessary to reproduce the behavior. I will file an issue on it.
Has this issue been fixed. I have a few documents that have the same issue.
