Is there, or will there be, a way to rearrange the items in a folder (3 pane view especially) not just by name, date and so on, but also freely?
That would give it some possibilities for limited outlining, which should come in handy from time to time.
Just switch to View > Sort > Unsorted and it’s possible to rearrange stuff in all views.
Select a group that you want to sort manually and right-click on any item in the Item pane (upper-right pane in the Three-Pane view) and select ‘Sort>Unsorted’. You can then drag to order items in this pane any way you want to view them. The sort order for groups is selectable on a group-by-group basis, so you can still have other groups sort by name, etc.
