global inbox - has become read only

Hi,

Yesterday i experienced a global crash of my macbook.
After rebooting of course all databases previously open warned about the DB already being open etc.

New for me however is that apparently I find my Global Inbox to be read only?
I could not find this icon back in the manual.

I’ve tried shutting all applications down and running a disk utility verification + repair permissions. To no avail alas.

Looking at the DB in finder doesn’t reveal anything special as far as I can tell.

Edit: It also appears that I have a single DB that I can not close?

Can anyone help me out on how to proceed to clear this situation?

Do a Tools > Rebuild Database on it.
