Global Smart rule creation problem

I am trying to create a global smart rule with two conditions. The first line goes in fine, but when I click plus to add the second condition, it overlays the first line and is difficult to read:

First line in OK above, but secon condition is on top of the first below.

?

  • What version of DEVONthink and macOS are you running?
  • Did you create a rule with no criteria and are now trying to add some?

Devonthink 4.2.2

MacOS Tahoe 26.5

I copied an existing rule with two criteria and could modify them in place just fine. But if I delete the two criteria and then try to add lines back in, I run into the problem

I’m not sure how you’re deleting two existing criteria…

PS: Why are you running the Tahoe beta? This is not a good idea if you need your Mac to be running normally. Unless you are required to, e.g., for work like I am, I recommend you switch back to public releases.

I must be mistaken about deleting the criteria - maybe I was going from three to one, because I see you can’t have.zero.

More confoundingly, when I repeat what I was doing - ie duping the existing Empty Tags rule and modifying it by changing criteria, it now works fine and now I can’t reproduce the problem (after being able to consistently reproduce it before I inquired). At least you saw the screenshot to prove I haven’t totally lost my marbles.

Point taken re running betas, but I did because there was an iCloud sync ( not having anything to do with DEVONthink) issue that I understood the beta would fix.

Anyway, I’ll keep an eye open to see if it happens again, and thanks for the quick response, especially on a holiday weekend.

You’re welcome and yes, let us know If you can reliably reproduce the issue. Enjoy the weekend!
