Google search gives mostly Youtube results

I’m using 2.3.1 on a standard Macbook. Google searches are giving me funny results. This might not be a bug and might have more to do with me not understanding how the program works.

  1. Type a search for “Association of American Universities” into DA (with quotes). Choose “Search -> Google” as the search agent. Here are the top five results:

  1. YouTube - “Association of American Universities”

  2. YouTube - UNC Campus
    [www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lmx-LQ_2b3c&hd=1]

  3. YouTube - International Security Studies: What the Eggheads Can Teach the Generals
    [www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5QJeV4SlYQ]

  4. YouTube - UCSD Campus
    [www.youtube.com/watch?v=a630OkVkjWM]

  5. YouTube - UO Virtual Tour: Academics at the University of Oregon
    UOregon
    [www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKR_-vc7HTU&hd=1]

Oddly, all are “YouTube” and the website for the organization isn’t in the results.

  1. Type a search for “Association of American Universities” into Safari search box (with quotes) with Google as the search agent. Here are the top results:

==
Association of American Universities - 9:03am
www.aau.edu/

AAU Members - Association of American Universities
www.aau.edu

Association of American Universities - Wikipedia

Association of American Universities: Information from Answers.com
www.answers.com/topic/association-of-am … iversities

These are, of course, the expected results from the search.

Perhaps I’m doing something wrong here?

You could exclude youtube via the preferences but the next release (2.5) will handle this. In case you’re interested in a beta, just send me an email.
