Handling of files saved in the finder

We know that DT3 has various functions. However, we believe that DT3 is basically a tool for centrally managing information collected from multiple locations.

That’s the question. When using DT3 to organize information collected from multiple locations, how do you handle files saved in the finder? Is it necessary to make it the same as the file structure in DT3?

If you’re importing you can import a folder structure from the Finder, effectively copying the files into the database.
I would suggest reading Help > Documentation > In & Out > Importing & Indexing. Indexing requires forethought so I would also read posts from @Greg_Jones regarding indexing.
