HEIF photos instead of JPEG

When adding photos to DTTG, either from the built-in functions or via sharing from Apple’s Photos app, I end up with JPEG files instead of HEIF. In the latter case, the file size grows 200-300% compared to the .heic original.

One workaround is to doing it via the Files app, either by copying to the DTTG folder or sharing it directly.

Any chance the DTTG camera could support HEIF, perhaps as an option?

The requested is noted but bear in mind, formats like HEIC / HEIF are not broadly supported for practical uses, I.e., use in web design.

It’s been the default camera format on iOS since 2017, offering superior quality while being much more efficient. A setting much like the one Apple offers would be great.
