Highlightling RTF and converting to pdf

This is what I do:

  1. I highlight my RTF file
  2. I use ‘tool’ and get my annotations summary in Markdown or RTF
    So far so good

Now I convert my highlighted RTF file to a pdf file

  1. I try to get the annotations summary to no avail
  2. Then I open with PDF expert or Highlight
  3. I try to export the annotations. No result
    It seems that when the file is converted from RTF to PDF the highlights are not 'seen"

Is it a normal behaviour?

Summarizing a PDF supports only PDF annotations but the conversion from RTF to PDF doesn’t create such annotations.
