How do I add a tag to a document in DTTG4?

Hello - I cannot seem to figure out how to add a tag to a document in DTTG4.

After hours of pecking through all the different icons and buttons, I finally figured out how to create a tag. But how do I add it to the document. In DT4, I can drag/move a document to the tag. When I try to move the document in DTTG4, I am unable to either drag it to the tag or explicitly move it. There is no way to drill down into the tags through this option.

What am I missing? This is driving me crazy. It can’t possibly be this hard.

You add tags in the Info popup for the document.

Thank you. I did manage to figure it out. My version is DTTG 4.0.4 (18095).

But here was the source of my confusion. Hopefully, it will help someone else.

(1) Select doc

(2) Click ‘info’ icon

(3) Click ‘tag’ icon in the section below the url

(4) Type the tag name at the cursor

(5) However, this forces the first letter to be upper case, eg: ‘My-new-tag’. (See pic1)

(6) Therefore, I cannot reuse an existing tag which is all lower-case, eg: ‘my-desired-new-tag’

(7) I must first type the tag name in a text editor, copy it, and then paste it.

Perhaps there is also a setting where I can override this behavior. It also seems enforced in the DTTG text editor. If I am missing something here, please advise. In any case, I have a workaround for lower case tags.

Again, thank you for the response.

Here is the second screenshot.

You’re welcome

This is an iOS 26 behavior not something we implemented. Go into iOS’ Settings > General > Keyboard and disable Auto-Capitalization.

Ah, I suspected as such. All good now. Thank you!

You’re welcome. It’s nice when you need the option… and not nice when you don’t.
