So this is a post related to a post I made recently about sync via WebDAV not working for me. As part of my troubleshooting, I deleted the DTTG app from my iPhone completely and reinstalled it. Once I figured out the problem (my NAS had blocked the IP where I’m staying) and fixed it (by unblocking said IP), I was able to get logged into my WebDAV repository on the iPhone just fine. I was easily able then to select the ten databases I carry around with me on the phone and let it start syncing. I thought I was all set.
Until I went to access some information in one of those databases today and found… nothing. In fact, a whopping eight of those ten databases show nothing. On every other device I use (my iPad Pro, my MacBook Pro, and my iMac at home), those databases show all the content I expect to see. And I can check the WebDAV store and see that changes I made on those other three devices are being committed and replicated as they should be.
When I go to the WebDAV list of databases I have configured today in DTTG on my iPhone, it simply shows that those eight databases have not yet been synced. And nothing I do seems to be making a sync happen. I’ve tried tapping the little cloud icon, killing and restarting the app, restarting the iPhone, etc. It seems not to care that the databases have never been synced, and with sync set to “Automatic” I guess I figured the software would… well… sync. Is there something I have to do to kick the sync in the seat of its pants to get it moving? It’s been over a day now, and there just isn’t that much data to download.
