While reading a text in DT,
how to manually highlighting some text, or using another font colour for emphasis?
(Of course one can choose ⌘ - T and from there set a specific font in several steps, but awkward.)

What kind of document do you read? Rich text documents support the format & editing bars (see Format menu), all other document types only the editing bar.

yes there is the Highlight and Highlight Color menu!
So far so good!
Is there a way to adjust (brighten , soften…) the color of the highlight maybe?

Colors are defined in Preferences > Colors. Note this will not change the color of existing highlights. It will change them going forward.

It worked after DT restarted.
