How to get tags to be carried over when an RSS item is moved

I have some RSS feeds. I tag the feeds with some tags, which means the individual documents in the feeds show those tags in the inspector. Problem: when I move an article out of the feed and into a group in my database, the tags do not end up on the document in the new location.

Is there a way or a trick to get the tags to be assigned to the document so that they “stick” or get carried over when a document is moved out of the RSS feed somewhere else?

Copy the feed article; don’t move it. The tag should persist.

Note: An RSS feed is not a group. You can easily prove this by moving an article out of a feed, then trying to drag and drop it back in. It doesn’t work.
