Hi everyone,
I think this is maybe a silly question - but a long time ago I setup import email in DTG. Somehow, I’ve added Apple Mail and Microsoft Outlook at the time. However, I do not use Microsoft Outlook at all. It still shows in the “import” section of DTG. Please see the screenshot.
However, I am not able to figure out how to delete Microsoft Outlook from this section. It’s a small thing but it’s really bugging me that it’s still showing up there
Many thanks!
It’s not a bug nor is it anything you can modify. If Outlook is installed, it will be shown in the Import > Emails.
That’s an insane quick reaction
So - if I delete Microsoft Outlook from my laptop it will disappear?
EDIT - I tried it out and it works! many thanks @BLUEFROG !
This will suit my needs - I don’t think (as this seems to be static) that I can ‘hide’ certain subfolders in the import section.

If it was uninstalled and the Mac rebooted, it shouldn’t appear as an option, though that’s the first time someone has ever asked me that.
Our messages crossed paths. It indeed worked thank you very much. I know it’s a small thing but things that are not visually aligned keep bugging me. This was one of those instances
You’re welcome and I understand. I’m guessing you straighten pictures in hotel rooms too
(Actually I do that
)
No reboot required, of DEVONthink or the Mac?

Only reboot of DEVONthink!
Is it by the way also possible when importing emails instead of archiving that conversation mode (organizing in threads) etc will be respected as well?
I see it now only handles this when “archiving” but my actual emails are in a sub-sub-sub folder in my email client which I would not want in DEVONthink.
If not, it’s possibly best to archive and then move to the correct folder in DEVONthink to have it respected?
Btw - every picture in hotel room straight indeed!

You could archive or import.
Threading emails is an inexact process at best. You can try enabling Files > Emails > Group conversation threads but (1) you shouldn’t expect miracles and (2) it could lead to a crash in certain circumstances.
