How to save a website including linked thumbnails?

Hi,

I am trying to save an offline version of a website that includes thumbnails that link to larger versions. I have managed to save versions that work fine when offline but clicking the thumbnails just displays a “not connected to the internet” error message. What am I doing wrong?

Also: Short of unplugging the Ethernet cable, what is the best way to find out if the displayed content is stored locally as opposed to received over the net?

To download also linked pages, edit the Download Manager options manually, and check “Images” as well as “Embedded images”. This should also download linked images. Set “Follow Links” to at least one level.

Apart from pulling the Ethernet cable there is no other way of finding out as far as I know.
