How to use aliases

I could not find information on alias and how to use them in the DevonThink help. Could someone suggest a reference ?
Can I use the alias instead of the complete name in search popups (go to, move, to, etc) ?

Ahhm, last month I wrote a script for you that prepares a record’s aliases so that the record can be found via its reference URL in popups. So, yes, you can use aliases in popups.
