I cannot open any of my Databases

I have all of my databases on an external hard drive and none of them can be opened on my new computer. I have been troubleshooting:

  1. I checked permissions in Finder
  2. I erased the file name .dtbase2 and checked permissions
  3. I tried another computer and I am having the same issue.

Any recommendations?
